Westside Jacksonville mobile home fire leaves woman dead as crews confront hoarding-like conditions inside residence

Fatal early-morning fire reported at Three Seasons Mobile Home Park
A woman died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, after a fire broke out inside a mobile home at Three Seasons Mobile Home Park on Jacksonville’s Westside. Emergency crews were dispatched at about 5:49 a.m. to the park in the 6100 block of Collins Road in the Argyle Forest area.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions and a home that was fully involved. The fire was brought under control by approximately 6:23 a.m. A deceased woman was later located inside the home at about 6:42 a.m. Her identity had not been released by early Tuesday afternoon.
Interior conditions complicated the response
Fire officials said the interior contained extensive clutter and debris, described as consistent with a possible hoarding situation. Such conditions can restrict movement, reduce visibility, and slow access to rooms where victims may be located, requiring crews to navigate and clear pathways while advancing hose lines and conducting searches.
Fire leaders emphasized that crews are trained to operate in heavily obstructed interiors and continue aggressive search and suppression efforts despite barriers posed by cluttered spaces.
Law enforcement presence and investigation
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers remained on scene alongside Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel after flames were knocked down. Investigators began examining the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
Early in the investigation, fire officials indicated the fire did not appear to be intentional at first glance. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office homicide unit also responded, a step that can occur in fatal fire incidents while investigators work to confirm circumstances and coordinate with the medical examiner.
