JSO arrests 21-year-old convicted felon accused in five-day string of armed robberies across Jacksonville

Arrest follows reports of gunpoint thefts at retail and food businesses in multiple areas of the city
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a 21-year-old man accused of carrying out a short series of armed robberies targeting stores and restaurants across Jacksonville over five days in mid-January.
The suspect, Jaheim Muhammad, is described by authorities as a convicted felon. He is being held at the Duval County Jail while facing multiple felony charges tied to the incidents. At this stage, the allegations remain unproven in court, and the case will move through the criminal justice process in the Fourth Judicial Circuit.
Timeline of the alleged robberies
Investigators say the alleged spree began on January 13, when Muhammad is accused of robbing a Dollar General on Old Kings Road. Authorities say a firearm was displayed during the encounter and that the suspect fled with hundreds of dollars in cash.
On January 14, detectives say the suspect targeted a gas station on Old St. Augustine Road, again pointing a gun at an employee and taking additional cash. Investigators said video evidence from the second location helped connect the suspect to the first robbery.
The next reported incident occurred January 17 at a Whataburger on San Jose Boulevard. Authorities allege the suspect pointed a gun at the cashier and took money from the business.
Police also allege an attempted robbery at a Domino’s Pizza on Cassat Avenue. In that episode, investigators said the cashier refused to hand over cash and the suspect left the store without obtaining money.
How detectives say the arrest unfolded
Authorities said the suspect departed the Domino’s location in a rideshare vehicle. Investigators reported the driver took him to an apartment, where Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Community Problem Response Unit detectives took him into custody.
