- Measles Outbreak Alert: Jacksonville’s Chief Health Officer has confirmed a measles outbreak in Duval County, with five cases identified in early 2026. Health officials recommend that all residents ensure they are up to date on the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine. Healthcare facilities are advised to display signage directing patients with rashes or febrile illnesses to remain outside for initial evaluation to prevent further transmission.
- Morning Fog Conditions: Following dense fog on Saturday, drivers may encounter reduced visibility on river valleys and bridges early Sunday. Motorists are instructed to use low-beam headlights and maintain increased following distances.
