Transportation and Infrastructure Projects

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues its extensive I-10 widening project between I-295 and I-95. Motorists should anticipate ongoing nighttime detours and lane closures as crews work to expand the corridor to ten lanes. Current focus areas include the interchanges at I-95 and I-295 North, where bridge construction operations are requiring periodic overnight traffic shifts.

In Jacksonville Beach, several public works projects remain active:

• Dune Walkover Replacements: Work is currently underway at 20 different sites to replace dune walkovers, with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2026.
